The babies have all arrived!
We have kids available on our 2008 Kids page.
Milking does for sale:
ANGEL - 2
year old Nubian milker. $200 Angel is
for sale as a family milker only. After surviving a menengeal worm she
has suffered some slight nerve damage that makes her unsuitable for show but she
certainly is very capable in the milkpail. She is a very loving goat and
is great around children. Her kids may be suitable for show. She
is currently milking 3/4 gallon a day.
MIDGE - 2
year old Lamancha milker. $200 Midge is a
very correct goat who comes from some high quality stock. Her only flaw
is her low milk production as a first freshener. She should improve with
another freshening but I have too many does to keep her another year.
Midge is certainly of show quality and her kids should be as well.
Nubian BUCK for sale:
OREGON is for sale for $250
~~~ DELIVERY for any animals to
ADGA NATIONALS in Lexington, KY may be possible in JULY ~~~
You
can also call or email and I would be glad to
help you find an animal in your area. Or check my
links page for other
breeders.
To reserve your choice of kid a $50
deposit per animal is requested. Please select a first choice and a second
choice. Reservations may be paid by check, money order, or Paypal.
We do reserve the right to keep any kid that is needed for replacement stock but
normally these kids are noted as reserved already. If your kid is not born or
determined to be of poor quality and another choice is not acceptable, we will
refund your deposit. You
may also ask to be placed on a list to be notified when kids are available if you prefer
to not send a deposit but deposits guarantee a first pick. Prices for kids are set assuming they are paid for
and picked up
or delivered by 8 weeks of age although kids to be shipped by air must be
shipped by 6
weeks of age for the best airfare rates and wellbeing of the kid. Kids kept past this time will require
the buyer to make further arrangements. We also offer repeat
buyer, multiple animal, and youth discounts. *special note* If you are
interested in a buck kid for breeding, please be sure to reserve one before the
doe's due date as I usually dam raise bucklings who are not reserved or selected
for my own breeding program. We will only sell a buck kid from a first
freshener that is exceptional.
After you have been notified your kid is
born (or you have selected the goat you wish to purchase) the remaining/total
balance is due prior to pickup/delivery at 8 weeks of age unless cash is being paid
at the time of pickup. Payment by
check must allow 10 days to clear prior to pickup or delivery. We accept Paypal, check, money order, or cash. You will receive a signed application
for registry for kids and the signed ADGA registration certificate for older
animals. Kid costs include a first vaccination with Covexin 8, if
desired, BoSe, and transport to Roanoke Regional Airport for shipping via air.
Costs of crate, additional tests, health certificate, airfare, etc are the responsibility of the
purchaser. Delivery is available on a limited basis; please contact me for
more information.
PET WETHERS: If you are
interested in a pet wether please be aware of the following
information:
 |
You will need to reserve a pet wether BEFORE kids
are born as I will not bottle raise or handle unreserved male
animals after they are born. |
 |
If you want to bottle feed a pet wether and are
willing to pick them up by 2 weeks of age the cost is $25. After
that the cost of a bottle fed pet wether goes up $10 per week until
pickup to cover board and labor. |
 |
Pet wethers reserved as a companion for a doe kid
you are purchasing from me will be bottle fed with the doe kid and
the cost is $25 as long as the kids are picked up by 8 weeks of age
or other arrangements will need to be made. |
FAMILY MILKERS:If you
plan on buying a nubian or lamancha doe as a family milker from us please be aware of the
following information:
 |
We define a family milker as a doe who is not
meeting our conformation standards in some way, has suffered a case of mastitis
that causes her udder to appear unshowable, or had an injury of some
kind but should still supply a steady
amount of milk for several years if fed and handled properly.
These does will be sound and free of disease or mastitis at the time
of sale unless otherwise noted. |
 |
Family milkers, when available, are $200 for a
milking goat 2-4 years old, $150 for a doe 5 years or over.
|
 |
We do not suggest that family milkers be shown
although often their offspring are perfectly acceptable animals for
the show ring. We will advise you at the time of purchase if
these does will be appropriate to breed for show kids. |
 |
If you have no other goats at home we will not
sell a doe without a companion. Often these does have formed
deep bonds with herdmates and without another goat companion at their new
home they can suffer from depression. |
